Congratulations to The Zig Zaggin Flag Snaggin Ragtag Braggin Bunch for winning the March Madness Team Name Challenge!!
In the finals, the flag football team from Waterloo took home the championship, with a 149-23 vote victory over Meryl Sweep, as the curling team’s reign came to its (10th) end.
In a battle against the odds, the individual team from our Kitchener-Waterloo Cambridge region battled their way through formidable opponents including Out Liar (Volleyball, Hamilton), TidyDucks (Broomball, Grand Rapids), Indy and a Jones (Soccer, Mississauga), I’m Too Old For This Shift (Soccer, Toronto), and Mid-Ice Crisis (Floor Hockey, Hamilton) before dispatching Meryl Sweep (Curling, Toronto) in the finals.
What a March/April it was! Starting with 64 teams from 8 regions, we’ve worked our way down to our champion. Congratulations to The Zig Zaggin Flag Snaggin Ragtag Braggin Bunch for winning and for literally taking our breath away. Now say Zig Zaggin Flag Snaggin Ragtag Braggin Bunch five times, fast!
Until next year!
